Parent circles
Just as relationship skills carry over into circles, there is a vice versa; the circle experience can have a radically positive effect on relationships outside the circle, because it can provide a model.

About Parent Circles
A circle is both a principle and a shape that fosters equality and respect. In parent circles, everyone has an equal opportunity to speak, pass, or remain silent, promoting genuine self-expression and honouring diverse voices. This inclusive approach builds interconnectedness, trust, and community, creating a safe space for open and sometimes challenging conversations.
Research shows that circle processes strengthen empathy, group cohesion, and shared responsibility. Parent circles become supportive environments for honest sharing, collaborative problem-solving, and emotional support. By participating in circles, parents gain a sense of belonging and the freedom to be authentic, which supports both personal growth and the well-being of families and communities

Parent circles
-
Isolated child
This circle provides space for parents to talk about their emotions, frustrations and fears whilst exploring why isolation occurs, including anxiety, depression, social challenges, peer issues, sensory differences, or simple need for privacy.
-
School refuser
By understanding school refusal, parents can discuss topics including anxiety, neurodiversity, bullying, sensory processing differences, academic pressure, trauma, and experiences with school policies. Through honest conversations around parental stress, guilt, worry, and frustration, parents will feel less alone while sharing tips on how families cope with the daily challenges.
-
Anxious and depressed
With mixed anxiety and depression being the most prevalent mental health disorder in Britain and globally, this circle offers peer connection, shared experiences and helpful resources.
-
Eating disorders
This circle encourages peer support to parents who are experiencing a child with an eating disorder by offering emotional reassurance and practical coping strategies.
-
Divorce or separation
This supportive group offers parents navigating divorce or separation a confidential space to share experiences, gain practical advice and build resilience. The circle focuses on healthy coparenting, managing emotions and effective communication.
-
Financial worries
Financial pressures can deeply affect family wellbeing and parenting. This circle provides a welcoming space for parents to share challenges and explore strategies to manage financial stress. Through peer support, parents learn how to maintain their mental health while navigating financial difficulties, helping to strengthen family resilience and coping skills.

Intergenerational challenges
Balancing the needs of both children and aging grandparents creates unique challenges that can feel overwhelming. Our intergenerational parent circle offers a safe and respectful space where parents can share experiences, exchange practical advice, and find emotional support.
-
Perimenopause/menopause
Perimenopause and menopause bring significant physical, emotional, and psychological changes that can impact parents and families in many ways. Our circle provides a supportive and respectful space where parents can openly share their experiences, challenges, and coping strategies.
-
Bereavement
This circle provides a safe, supportive space where parents can openly share their experiences and emotions around loss, fostering honest dialogue on coping with grief, supporting children, and finding meaningful ways to remember loved ones.
-
Addiction
Addiction covers a wide range of issues such as issues related to substance misuse—including alcohol and drugs and behavioural addictions, especially related to social media, smartphone use, and video gaming, which can have a significant impact on mental health and daily functioning. Pornography addiction among young people is increasingly common, with studies showing that a large majority of teens have been exposed to pornography, often starting as early as ages 9 to 13.
